Offerings

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is the gold standard in trauma treatment. It helps your brain process trauma by using guided eye movements to take the emotional and physical charge out of painful memories. It enables you to move forward without the past hijacking your nervous system

Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state where we bypass the mental noise and work directly with your subconscious to rewire unhelpful patterns. This powerful form of therapy enables deep insight.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps you connect the dots between your past and present, so you can break patterns that no longer serve you. It’s like emotional archaeology—digging into the deeper layers of your story to create real, lasting change.

FAQ

  • Do you offer in person or telehealth sessions?

    • I offer both in person sessions and telehealth appointments. In person sessions are held at my office in Farragut Square in downtown Washington, DC. Telehealth sessions are conducted over HIPAA secure telehealth platform SimplePractice.

  • If you hypnotize me will you control my mind or make me quack like a duck?

    • No.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • Please give me at 24 hours notice if you cannot attend a session or you will be charged the full session fee. If you let me know about a conflict with a few days notice I am often able to reschedule.

  • How much does therapy cost?

    • My fee is $230 per session. You will be billed for each session later that day with a card on file. You may also use your HSA and FSA cards to pay for sessions. I will provide you with a paperwork you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement at the end of the month.

  • Do you take insurance?

    • No, I am an out of network provider. Please consult your insurance plan to see what out of network reimbursement is available to you.

  • How often do you meet with people? How long will therapy take?

    • Sessions are 50 minutes once or twice a week. EMDR often goes faster than traditional talk therapy. However, EMDR can be intense and many people need some preparation before they are able to begin EMDR. Psychodynamic therapy is intended to treat deep attachment wounds and requires at least six months or more to make meaningful changes.
